Manage approvals from the User Management screen by adding or deleting tags for users. When you add tags, you provide users with a flexible and easy-to-manage role-based approval process.

Assign tags to users to set up a second layer of approvals for making dynamic adjustments based on project needs, without having to perform complex configurations. By modifying the tags when your approval requirements change, you improve scalability.
NOTE: To add or delete tags for all users, you must be on PegaDevOpsFoundation version 6.6 or later, and have the DM_ACCOUNT_ADMIN role, which is the highest hierarchical role in Deployment Manager service.

  1. In the navigation pane of Deployment Manager, click Users.
  2. In the list of users, click the user that you want to edit, and then perform one of the following actions:

    Add a tag In the Tags list, add a new tag or select from a pre-populated list of tags that you want associated with a user.
    Delete a tag In the Tags section, select the tags that you want to remove from the user.

    TIP: If you have a requirement for tag-based approval, you can add the Approval on tags Task anywhere in a pipeline. For more information, see Approve on tags.

    The Deploy application Task includes the Restrict by tag input parameter, which enables you to set decisions, such as overriding aged updates, for users with specific tags. For more information, see Deploy application.

  3. Click Save.
